How to roll a terminal update back

  1. Are you ready?

In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to execute rollback of a terminal update. This procedure is used for cases when a new update has been uploaded, but the terminal experiences processing issues or malfunctions.

We will use the following parameters as an example (these values are used for training purposes within this tutorial only):
    Update Profile Code: ING123
    Current Version: 340
    Previous Version: 300
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Management => Portfolio Perspective.

Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Locate     Portfolio  dropdown and choose an appropriate portfolio from the list.
  4. Click   Equipmentbutton in the right top section of the screen.
  5. Choose   Updates  menu item   from the list.
  6. Locate   Code  column with ING123 value.
  7. Click   View Terminal Updatebutton next to the update profile.
  8. Locate   Update Version  groupbox
  9. Select 300 in Currentdropdown
  10. Click   Savebutton . Previous update version will be activated during the next terminal update (update of the terminal is usually performed once a day). If you need the changes to be applied immediately, restart the terminal. It will automatically check if the update is available, and return to the previous update version.
  11. Congratulations, you are done!

You have learned how to roll a terminal update back, and now you can do it by yourself.
