How to activate incoming transactions trace logging

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial we are going to learn how to activate incoming transactions request logging through the system.

    This may be necessary to diagnose problems that integrators might experience while sending transactions into the system. This operation can help you to identify inproperly formatted messages, incorrectly used passwords, etc.
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password and switch to the Administration => System Perspective.

    Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. Click   Systembutton
  4. Choose   Settings  menu item  
  5. Locate   General  tab
  6. Locate   Logging  groupbox
  7. Locate   Debug Enabled  checkbox and check it off.
  8. Select debug in Leveldropdown
  9. Locate   Merchant List (Realtime)  textbox and enter the code of a merchant for which logging should be enabled. For multiple merchants, use pipe as a seperator (e.g. 1000|2000|3000).
  10. Locate   Include Sensitive Data (R...  checkbox and check it off, if you want the entire request, including sensitive data such as passwords, card numbers, etc, to be included in a log file.

    Note: No attended logging should ever be done with this setting enabled, and all log files must be destroyed immediately when the debugging session is over.
  11. To disable debug logging, follow the steps from 2 to 6, locate Debug Enabled checkbox and deactivate it.
  12. Click   Savebutton
  13. Congratulations, you are done!
